Recently in atheist circles very many high profile scientists have taken to being very unforgiving towards those of faith. This has been decried as shrill and ineffective by others in the pro-science groups. You don`t make friends by bashing folk on the head, you do it by persuasion, slowly changing views by softening up the impact of the new reality to those who are locked in a traditional dead end. The scientists do not like the idea of framing.
This has been called `framing the argument`for those who oppose you. The Evangelical Realist takes this idea to task in a very well put manner, and I would ask the proponents of a kind of angilcan version of science to take note. Those who oppose science for theological reasons will never be reasoned into a discussion, because they can`t even start a debate accepting you have an actual point of view.
