When I read this, the name Cadman flashed into my mind.

When Airdrie MLA Rob Anderson and Fish Creek MLA Heather Forsyth left the PCs in January 2010, they said it was because they were muzzled and couldn’t stand up for their constituents.

What they didn’t mention was that they had struck a deal with Danielle Smith for the Wildrose Party to transfer $20,000 to their new constituency associations.

Ah so that’s what they mean by conscience rights, the right to take cash because they are too spineless to represent their constituents honestly. But the whole process and excuses put me in mind of this,

Harper goes on to explain on the tape that the offer to Cadman was “only to replace financial considerations he might lose due to an election.” He adds that the offer was carried out by people who were “legitimately representing the party.”
