Do we need any more evidence of the incompetence inherent in the PMO? Yesterday it was announced that the Harper gang wouldn’t match their own targets in the much heralded “Canadian solution to emissions control.”
More importantly they haven’t even tried to do anything about it,
The federal government has promised to cut greenhouse gas emissions significantly by 2020, but it has not put the regulatory framework in place to achieve that goal, environmental groups and economists say, responding to the report of Canada’s environment commissioner.
It appears this claim for a “Made in Canada solution,” was a bald faced lie.
Now we have to look at the case of the cuts outlined in the recent budget. Apparently they were announced with great fanfare, but again they haven’t got a clue how to go about them.
“Right now, the policy is being developed,” Conservative MP Kellie Leitch told the CBC last week when asked to explain the measures. Ms. Leitch is the parliamentary secretary to Human Resources Minister Diane Finley, who has said the measures will be explained in the coming “weeks and months.”
It has all the signs of a government of inept individuals who are clearly out of their depth and who thought dogma, ideology, bullying and a crass disregard for reality would be enough to get the job done. Hardly any of these folk have actually had a real job or run anything that required leadership, intelligence and compromise and it shows.
Talking points are all very well, but when will this bunch of jumped up office boys actually get a grown up to make decisions?
