Dianne Feinstein is a Democrat, she is also leader of those who oversee the DoJ’s activities.
The DoJ recently smuggled guns to Mexican drug gangs one of which was used to kill a federal employee. US government employees gave weapons to foreign criminals which were then used to kill US law enforcement personnel. Sounds a tad treasonous to me, especially given the conditions laid down by recent US Presidents for one to qualify as a guest of Gitmo. Not just this but the current President (Democrat also), who claimed to be different to all the corrupt liars who preceded him, has run interference for those who allowed this treachery to happen.
Julian Assange, while undoubtedly an ego-maniac with a narcissistic streak, is not a US citizen, has published material which have not been shown to harm any US citizens and Feinstein thinks,
‘‘I believe Mr Assange has knowingly obtained and disseminated classified information which could cause injury to the United States,” the chairwoman of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, Dianne Feinstein, said in a written statement provided to the Herald. ”He has caused serious harm to US national security, and he should be prosecuted accordingly.”
And has set the very agency who messed up royally in Mexico on his trail.
To describe the situation as asinine and stupid is an understatement, but it is clear that there are no adults in the nursery that is responsible for US governance.
Holder, the guy who is clearly responsible for crimes against the well-being of his own country, is now being asked to prosecute Assange for alleged acts that appear to have caused no real harm, except embarrassment, against a country that is not his own.
Weird as hell…
